This obviously goes in less details for ADO than the Professional ADO book but it will bring more than what most of us needs.

It includes the complete reference with less explanation. What it does go into is the ADO objects (through Disconnected Recordsets), to Data Shaping/5(7). Granted that ADO is a big topic, but WROX has so many other books (for example Professional ADO RDS Programming with ASP and Professional Active Server Pages ) that cover the exact same topics as this book, and it is difficult to avoid repetition among books, when you have another full volume on ADO/5(7).

I last touched ADO with version and needed a book to bring me up to speed with the newest tech. The book was well structured for my needs, and the salient information was mixed with readable code samples which made this process simple and efficient.

Would absolutely recommend purchase/5(14). ADO includes some helpful support for XML. In this version of ADO you can save a recordset as an XML stream.
